IO Data announces 3TB external hard drive
IO Data, a Japanese manufacturer, recently released an external hard drive with the HDC2-U3.0 symbol with a capacity of up to 3TB. This is actually an upgraded version of the HDC2-U product line. HDC2-U 3.0 has a volume of 82.2 X 111.2 X 181.6mm, weight of 2.3KG, the inner part is composed of 2 1.5TB hard drives by RAID 0 or RAID 1 method, supporting USB 2.0 / 1.1 ports.
RAID is a hard drive combination (logical hard drive) that uses multiple independent hard drives (physical hard drives) made up of different methods. Thus will bring more powerful features than conventional hard drive products and also support data storage techniques. The use of different methods constitutes the disk array called the RAID level.
There are currently seven types of RAID levels, including RAID 0 to RAID 6. Meanwhile, RAID 0 represents the highest-performance product in RAID levels.
It is expected that HDC2-U3.0 will appear in the Japanese market after 2 weeks, the selling price is 525 USD, the warranty period is 1 year.
