iPhone will use Intel Atom chip
It seems that Apple is planning to use the new Atom processor family inside a future version of the cult " iPhone", an unnamed Intel official in Germany revealed.
Atom is a family of dedicated chips for handheld devices and mobile phones that the new giant Intel has released not long ago. Using this microprocessor platform, the device will not sacrifice features to save power and extend battery life.
Ever since Atom was released, experts have rumored that Apple will use Atom for the iPhone, because one of the cricket's "critical" drawbacks is its poor battery life.
This drawback has significantly hampered the powerful multimedia features that the Apple Apple has equipped for the iPhone, such as listening to Mp3 music without losing to the iPod and surfing the Net no less than a Mac computer.
In addition, the Atom platform will also bring the Internet surfing experience to a new high level, thanks to its superior processing power compared to the existing chip.
IPhone is highly praised for its complete net surfing capabilities, thanks to its superb mobile Safari browser and unique Zoom feature, allowing users to zoom in and read detailed information when needed.
According to ZDNET, on the sidelines of an event organized by Intel for the BMW semiconductor's 40th birthday in Munich, Germany, an Intel official confirmed the "absolutely true rumor".

Can not be one way soon
However, the roadmap of how to "Atomize" the iPhone is unlikely. According to analysts, an iPhone version of Atom chips will be hard to come out overnight.
Because the current Atom generation is not really suitable for smartphones: It still gives off too much heat for devices of small size like iPhone.
ZDNET predicts that Apple will be forced to resize the iPhone using Atom. "It will be slightly bigger than the current version, and will also refer to Intel's design of mobile Internet devices (MIDs)."
Therefore, the expected release timeframe for iPhone Atom will range between 2009 and 2010, coinciding with the launch of the second Atom chip family, codenamed Moorestown.
However, when the press contacted an Intel representative in the US, the chip giant just said, "Considering and checking the information that ZDNET posted".
Intel did not forget the " one more " line that "doubts a company official has confirmed this plan".
"I am not sure that Intel officials in Germany know this plan - in case it is true," Intel spokesman shrugged.
