On the morning of January 22, 2006, in Hanoi, under the direction of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Posts and Telematics (VTV) Vu Duc Dam "Forum promoting the application and development of Vietnamese information technology" opened. .

Attending the forum were leaders of many leading IT corporations in the world: Intel, Microsoft, Cisco, HP, IBM, IDG, . This is the bridge between the IT industry in the world and Vietnam.

Initiative to organize this forum of the Ministry of Post and Telematics to strengthen dialogue between the Ministry of Post and Telematics and IT. Through the forum, the speakers will share, contribute ideas and support to promote the development of Vietnam's IT market. According to the plan, the forum will be held regularly.

Attending and speaking at the opening session, Minister of Post and Telematics Do Trung Ta reviewed the development achievements of Vietnam IT and Internet industry. According to the Minister, the forum participants need to cooperate closely and support each other in every effort to promote Vietnam's IT market. In line with the general development trend in the world, the Ministry of Post and Telematics will attach more importance to the active participation of leading IT corporations in Vietnam's IT market. The Ministry of Post and Telematics wants these corporations to not only be IT service and product providers but also strategic partners in Vietnam. The Ministry of Post and Telematics is ready to support the action plans of IT corporations in Vietnam.

At this forum, some important issues are discussed: Key issues to promote IT in Vietnam; Implementing priority programs and some main difficulties that Vietnam IT is facing; Promote IT applications in areas such as e-government, e-commerce; Training human resources for IT; Some IT activities are aimed at the 2006 APEC Summit. In addition, the speakers also discussed how to operate in the future of this forum.
