IT development based on human resources and technology strategy

Yesterday morning (February 26), the international conference " Development of IT - Human Resources and Technology Strategy " was held in Hanoi, attracting representatives from more than 20 countries in the region.

The Ministry of Post and Telematics cooperates with Seul National University (SNU), and the University of Information and Communication (Korea) co-organizes. The seminar attracted more than 100 delegates from 20 countries in the region such as Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Philippines .

Currently, IT human resources of Vietnam are seriously lacking with the disadvantages of lack of professional activities, poor English capital and lack of CIO in this field. According to the IT-Communication development strategy in 2010-2020, by 2020, Vietnam strives to provide 70% of ICT human resources capable of meeting the needs of the international market.

In addition, the workshop also focused on the content of information technology such as management policies for e-government, wireless technology in Thailand, Korean software industry .

At the workshop, Deputy Minister of Post and Telematics Nguyen Minh Hong said: '' The development of IT human resources in the new year 2007 is important, because this is the first year Vietnam has started implementing accession activities. WTO, cooperation with international partners. This is also a key task of the Ministry of Post and Telematics, especially in the period from now to 2010 '' .

According to Vice Minister Hong, in early 2006, Vietnam and South Korea cooperated to build a project of Vietnam - Korea Friendship IT College to train IT human resources in this field. The school has an initial enrollment scale of an average of 800 IT bachelors each year, applying the model and method of IT training in Korea with a 3-year training period. The school will begin enrollment for the first course in September this year, with a scale of training about 2,400 college students.
