Rescue workers search for bodies inside a damaged vehicle in Fukushima Prefecture.

The aftershock occurred when people all over Japan marked a month of a double disaster disaster, which killed 28,000 people and went missing.

Aftershocks occur at 5:16 pm on April 11 local time (ie 15h16 Vietnamese time). Japan's NHK TV channel reported that the heart of the new aftershock is located in Fukushima Prefecture and at a depth of only 10km. Workers at the Fukushima I nuclear plant were evacuated.

Meanwhile, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said the aftershock is located 38km west of Iwaki city of Fukushima prefecture and at a distance of 13km.

A 1m high tsunami warning was issued, similar to another 7.1-magnitude aftershock that rocked the northeast coast last week. But no tsunami ensues.

Everyone at a large electronics store in Sendai screamed and rushed out. The mothers hugged their children, and the windows shook. After about 2 minutes, everyone went back to the store.
