The information was made by Japan's Minister of Economic, Commercial and Industrial Affairs Yukio Edano on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in France.
The proposal shows that Tokyo is ready to pursue the export of nuclear energy technology, to revive its struggling economy, while seeking to reduce its dependence on domestic nuclear power due to consequences of the worst nuclear disaster from the Fukushima plant in March.
Mr. Edano asked Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz to continue negotiations in the future."We want Turkey to continue to appreciate Japan's nuclear technology , " he told Mainichi.
Minister Taner Yildiz said, he will consider this issue.
Last December, Turkey gave two Japanese companies, Toshiba and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), the right to negotiate the construction of a nuclear power plant in this country. But after the Fukushima nuclear accident, TEPCO intends to withdraw from the talks, causing the agreements between the two sides to stagnate.
