Furukawa said that he will grow cucumbers on the ISS to see if future astronauts can grow their own crops. Europe.

The 53-year-old astronaut South Dakota is the oldest member of the flight crew, and is involved in the design and assembly of ISS. Volkov said he will grow tomatoes, and jokes that astronauts hope to be allowed to make salads in the universe.
