Khanh Hoa will turn off the lights to respond to Earth Hour
Khanh Hoa province has just registered to participate in Earth Hour, in which districts choose one town, Cam Ranh town and Nha Trang city to select central wards to turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment in one the night of March 28, to respond to this campaign.
The selected place to join the Earth Hour of Nha Trang coastal city is a number of wards along the two central roads: Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong. Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also proposed cities, towns and districts to have specific implementation plans for each household, agency and organization in the area selected to participate.
Some big hotels in the province such as Vinpearl, Diamond Bay, Yasaka, Anamadra, Sunrise, Que Huong and Hai Yen . are also mobilized to enjoy Earth Hour and have candle light activities. Public lights on some roads, squares and parks along Tran Phu Street will be reduced to Earth Hour, but still ensure lighting for community activities and security.
Previously, Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City also registered to participate in Earth Hour campaign organized by the International Fund for Nature Protection (WWF). This global scale event kicked off in 2007 and this year is expected to involve about 1 billion people in more than 1,400 cities around the world.
