Korea supports more than USD 1.4 million to build an electronic library

The Memorandum of Agreement to support the construction of an electronic library at the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy by the Korean Government, through non-refundable aid from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) signed between Kim Seung Beom, Chief Representative of KOICA in Vietnam and Mr. Nguyen Van Sau, Deputy Director, Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy tomorrow, July 7, 2006.

Electronic library

This project was implemented within 2 years (2006-2007) with the scale of 1,425 million USD. Through the transfer of Korea's advanced IT technology and the construction of an electronic library in the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, KOICA will support information technology equipment for mail work. The institute aims to strengthen the information system for Vietnamese people as well as Vietnamese officials.

KOICA hopes that, with the support of building IT infrastructure and training IT staff, this project will partly contribute to the Vietnamese government's efforts to reduce disparity. information technology and 5-year socio-economic development plan (2006-2010)

It is known that in order to get this signing ceremony, the survey team conducted by KOICA to Vietnam from July 2-7, 2006 has conducted a detailed survey of facilities where the installation and set up an electronic library system, and at the same time, the delegation exchanged opinions with the project management board of the Academy about the project implementation plan in the coming time.
