South Korea funded $ 35 million to build a general hospital

Quang Nam was selected to build a private General Hospital funded by Korea. The project will be signed by the two governments of the APEC Summit.

According to the Office of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, after a period of investigation, Koika organization (South Korea) agreed to choose Quang Nam as the location to build a central general hospital with an investment of 35 million USD.

This is also the Korean government's largest non-refundable grant project for developing countries.

In preparation for the construction site of this hospital, on 8 November, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Hai had a meeting with the Management Board of Chu Lai Open Economic Zone (KKTM) and related departments.

Accordingly, the Central General Hospital in Quang Nam has a minimum area of ​​20 ha, scale of 600 beds, will be built at the position of Tam Hiep Medical Station (belonging to Tam Hiep commune). The hospital has a façade located on Highway 1A, the rear is located on the axis along Ben Phan river, the two sides are adjacent to Tam Hiep new urban area and Cho Tram resettlement area.

However, the leaders of Quang Nam province did not agree on the geometry of the hospital as proposed by Chu Lai OEZ Management Board. Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee proposed this unit to urgently complete the planning of the space of the Central General Hospital in the direction of balance, harmonious in terms of geometric dimensions, avoiding the shape of the protruding soil area. or not square.

Moreover, a high quality new urban area must be planned next to the hospital for medical professionals, the intellectual team is here to work. In that spirit, the leaders of Quang Nam province requested at the latest on November 11, Chu Lai EZ EZ Management Board must complete the planning of hospital construction location.

Under the plan, the governments of Vietnam and South Korea will officially sign an agreement to cooperate in building the Central General Hospital in Quang Nam during the upcoming APEC Summit.
