'We estimate that the tsunami in 2004 changed the voltage in the sea cable in this area by about 500 mV (millimeters). The signal is small but enough to make a difference from the noise the computer receives on peaceful days , "Manoj Nair said.

Tsunami battles, which can spread at the speed of jets, are the result of phenomena such as continental displacement, or earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Scientists say that tsunami phenomenon rarely occurs, however, countries still need to invest in warning systems because otherwise the consequences will be huge. In 2004, the tsunami in the Indian Ocean killed about 200,000 people.
