LG's 100-inch LCD screen sets Guinness record
Measuring 2.2 x 1.2 meters, a record resolution of 6.22 million pixels, displaying up to 1.07 billion colors, LG's giant screen won the first page of the Product section. Technical science in the Guinness Book of 2007 is expected to be published later this year.
The champion debuted for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show CES at the high-tech "capital" of Las Vegas (USA) earlier this year. Previously, this throne was won by Samsung's 82-inch LCD screen. LG's screen size makes the representative of the Guinness book editorial board famous to recognize this is a bold breakthrough of electronics company from the land of kimchi.

' We are proud to have fulfilled the dream of conquering the peak of technology and the record number will not only stop at 100 ', LG representative said in a record recognition of the screen.
According to Display Research's report, LG Electronic is the world's largest supplier of flat-panel displays (both plasma and LCD). The next two positions belong to Matsushita (owner of Panasonic) and Samsung. Experts say the world market for flat-panel displays will reach 12 million units by the end of this year and this number will increase to 25 million by 2010.
