Limit pollution caused by livestock with biogas reactors

According to Hanoi City's Office of Biogas, the suburban districts and towns of the Capital have built nearly 40,000 biogas plants (biogas plants).

Of these, 10,000 were built from the financial support of the ' Biogas Program for the Livestock Sector in Vietnam ' funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Netherlands Development Cooperation. sponsor.

These biogas plants have significantly contributed to limiting the level of environmental pollution caused by livestock in the suburbs of the Capital today.

In many large livestock farms in the suburbs of Hanoi, thanks to the use of biogas residues to run generators, as fuel for cooking . has saved the cost and production and living costs. very effective.

Typically pig farms with scale of raising nearly 700 pig pigs, 130 foreign sows of Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc in Thanh Ha village, Nam Son commune, Soc Son district.

Thanks to the construction of five biogas tunnels with a volume of nearly 200m3 of tunnel to both prevent environmental pollution due to livestock production and generating gas for running generators 15kw, Phuc's farm has saved tens of millions of dong each year. .

At present, the suburban area has nearly 1,300 breeding farms and tens of thousands of small households with a total of nearly 1.7 million heads. If there is no appropriate measure to clean the breeding facilities and treat livestock waste, the rural environment will be seriously polluted.

The construction of biogas tanks in livestock households is thus contributing to reducing the risk of water and air pollution and greatly reducing greenhouse gas emissions due to emissions from livestock and domestic sewage. out.
