A 3-year-old baby dinosaur drowned and sunk into sediment about 74 million years ago, recently discovered by scientists at Canadian dinosaur park.

Scientists say the dinosaur is very small, only about 1.5m but the whole body is well preserved.

Since there were no bites or injuries found on the fossil's body, scientists speculated that the baby dinosaur might have fallen into the river, drowned and sank into sediment while walking in terror. mother

This fossil is very rare because this is the smallest skeleton of the group of dinosaurs that eat intact horny plants ever. It belongs to the Chasmosaurus belli dinosaur family .

Philip Currie - an ancient biologist at the University of Alberta (Canada) - said: "The skeleton is almost complete and intact, revealing skin with a pink rose pattern standing out of the rock that looks like a mummy dinosaur ".

This finding will help archaeologists identify changes in the development of large plant-eating dinosaurs by comparing this dinosaur fossil to other skeletons.

Notably, the ratio of body and leg of dinosaurs is not much different from that of adult dinosaurs, only the first type is changed. In contrast to carnivorous dinosaurs like T-rex, this baby dinosaur has long unequal legs so it is difficult to keep up with the big ones.

Mature chasmosaurs are weighing 2-3 tons and about 5 meters long.
