Making blood from human skin

From skin cells, a group of scientists at McMaster University, Canada, successfully produced human blood. The achievement is likely to open up a bright prospect for this medical industry published in the latest issue of Nature .

In the future, patients who step onto the operating table will be completely reassured even though the current situation of anemia is a common situation of the whole world. Cancer patients who require chemotherapy can receive their own blood prepared in the laboratory, eliminating the elimination of donor blood.

Creating blood from human skin will open a promising future for medicine.

'Artificial' cells are capable of regenerating from any of the three corpuscles of blood, red blood cells ( erythrocytus ), leukocytes ( leucocytus ) and platelets ( thrombocytus ). That actually means that from simple cells can produce all kinds of complex cells, including those with very deep differentiation levels. Of course, the most significant thing is that medical experts have created nerve cells and forced them to "work closely" with each other.

Many scientists around the world have conducted similar studies, seeming to 'compete' with stem cells taken from the fetus. Until now, health professionals have devoted a lot of effort to creating artificial tissues and artificial organs from their own 'materials' . However, in many countries, the state has a ban on the ' materials' because it is related to asexual reproduction.

The success of making human blood cells will certainly lead to a series of other inventions. Dr. Mich Bchatia, a professor of biology, chair of the study, said: ' We are currently trying to test our artificial cells on the human body. We have prepared everything to be able to start working with volunteers. '
