Masculine men increasingly

Advanced achievements in the field of medicine make the number of women like men with masculine appearance diminishing over time.

In the history of women always choose strong men because of features such as muscular body, large voice, square chin, thin lips, low eyebrows in men are expressions of a good genome. If married to such men, the opportunity to give birth to healthy, intelligent children will be higher. The more intelligent and healthy children are, the higher their chances of survival. However, every choice has its price, because the more masculine a man is, the smaller the level of contribution that can be made during the process of raising a child.

The slender guys like actor Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are increasingly favored by women.

Scientists believe that, with great advances in medicine today, women do not have to worry about the viability of their children. So when they choose a mate, strong, muscular men are no longer the first priority. This trend is evident in industrialized countries - where women can easily access the most advanced medical technologies.

To prove this hypothesis, scientists at Aberdeen University in Scotland conducted an online survey in 30 countries such as the US, New Zealand, Canada, Sweden and Brazil. Telegraph said about 4,500 women aged 16-40 participated in the survey. The team showed them photos of 20 different men. Each man has two photos, one of which is edited so that his face has many masculine features such as square chin, big jaw, thick eyebrows. The other image has many feminine features such as small mouth, slim chin.

The team found that there was a direct correlation between health care conditions and the tendency to choose a partner in women. The proportion of women who like slim men and students in countries with a health system is much higher than in other countries.

For example, in Sweden - the country with the best health system in the world - the majority (68%) of women who participated in the survey liked the guys who possessed a non-manly appearance. In contrast, in Brazil, where the health care system is worse, most women (55%) prefer masculine men. 60% of British women - countries with an average health system compared to the Western average - prefer feminine men.

"The survey results show that the more health care conditions are developed, the more masculine men become less attractive in the eyes of women. That explains why film actors have a lively look. like Johhny Depp and Orlando Bloom are more admired by women than masculine actors like Clark Gable or Sean Connery before, " said Dr. Lisa DeBruine, team leader.
