Jose Luis Brito, director of the San Antonio Museum of Natural History and Archeology, told the UCV radio station that the corpses of cormorants, pelicans, gray seagulls, mad birds drifted to the beaches of Santo city. Domingo from 6/5. Gray seagulls account for the largest proportion.

The San Antonio Museum announced that they would appeal to police about dead birds, AFP reported. Mr. Brito said that these birds had stabbed fishermen. But instead of freeing them before throwing the net into the water, fishermen abandon them. So the birds drowned.

The incident in Chile occurred in the context of the Peruvian government investigating the cause of the corpses of nearly 900 dolphins and about 5,000 seabirds drifting to the north coast. Peruvian Environment Deputy Minister Gabriel Quijandria said that it is likely that dolphins and seabirds die due to warmer seawater. When the temperature in the sea water rises, the food chain of marine animals disturbs, making them not get enough food to survive.
