Accordingly, by 2015, 100% of hazardous medical solid waste at health facilities will be collected, classified and transported to treatment facilities, of which 70% of hazardous medical solid waste is hazardous. harm is treated, ensuring environmental standards.

In the period up to 2025, 100% of hazardous medical solid waste at medical facilities is collected, transported and treated to ensure environmental standards.

Forecast of hazardous solid medical waste generated in the whole country in 2015 is 50,071kg / day, in 2025 is 91,991kg / day. Technologies for hazardous solid medical waste treatment include burning and non-burning technologies. The selection of treatment technology (incineration or non-burning) is based on the following criteria: Composition and nature of hazardous medical solid waste; ability to classify and isolate medical solid waste at waste sources; volume of hazardous medical solid waste to be treated; location of hazardous solid medical waste treatment facilities; financial capacity and operational management capability of each locality.

The decision clearly stated that on the basis of hazardous solid medical waste management, three models of hazardous medical solid waste treatment are proposed, including: 1- Centralized treatment model; 2- Model of hospital cluster treatment; 3- Processing model at medical facilities. In particular, with the centralized treatment model, hazardous solid medical wastes are treated centrally at hazardous medical waste treatment facilities built in inter-provincial solid waste treatment areas or province.
