A meteorite about 10 meters in diameter flies above the South Ocean on June 8.

The US Aerospace Agency (NASA) announced scientists discovered the 2013 LR6 meteorite exactly one day before it flew south of the Ocean, off Tasmania, Australia at 4:42 pm on June 8 GMT ( 11:42 am Hanoi time, Reuters reported. At that time, meteorites were about 104,000 kilometers from Earth - about a quarter of the distance between the globe and the moon.

Because the 2013 LR6 's diameter is only about 10m, it is not a threat to the earth.

A week ago, QE2 - a meteorite with a diameter of 2,700m - with its satellite flew about 5.8 million km from the earth. more than 1,500 people were injured by broken glass.

NASA has stated that it has detected about 95% of large meteorites (1,000 meters or more in diameter) near the earth.

"Theoretically, the possibility of collisions between meteorites and the earth always exists , " said astronomer Gianluca Masi, an expert of the Virtual Telescope project. In the Virtual Telescope project, astronomers can observe the meteorites flying close to the earth through Google+ service.
