Microsoft launched beta of VoIP server

According to vice president Gurdeep Singh Pall in charge of Microsoft's real-time collaboration product group, this announcement has Office Communications Server 2007 (VoIP server software) and Office Communicator 2007 (mobile device application). , marking the entry into Microsoft's Internet telephony market, hoping to replace traditional PBX systems as well as 'knock out' IP PBX systems by manufacturers such as Cisco and Avaya.
Pall said Microsoft software is compatible with many types of hardware that businesses may be using, such as gateways, phones, and other servers.
Microsoft has tightly integrated the server with the Office 2007, Active Directory product suite. In Office Communications Server and Office Communicator 2007, IM (instant-messaging) and video conferencing functions are also available.
