Midomi: Singing karaoke online
Melodis, a Silicon Valley start-up recently ran a test of Midomi's online karaoke website, where amateur voices can record, buy original tracks and search for music files with a whistling sound.
The most special thing when visiting Midomi.com is that you can search for songs by title, or use a microphone on your computer to sing, hum or whistle in the melody you know.
Source: Blueroom The website will automatically match that tune with your database and provide a list of search results for you to choose from.
After that, you can listen to your favorite songs through other Midomi members' voices. If you want, you can also play the original version of the song, however, to download it online, you have to pay 99 cents per lesson.
Members who register with the website will be able to score other people's performances, create a list of the most popular voices. They even had access to a virtual studio to record their own voices. Others will hear, score and assess your talents.
Registration is completely free, but you must be over 13 years old. Now, turn on the mic and sing.
