Ministry of Post and Telematics will change its name to Ministry of Information and Communications

Speaking at the conference on reviewing the 2006 work and implementing the 2007 plan of the Ministry of Post and Telematics, Minister Do Trung Ta said that in this year, the Ministry of Post and Telematics should complete the project of Renaming and Functioning Ministry of Information Technology - Communications.

Also according to the Minister, Vietnam is an attractive and reliable investment point of international IT-Communications Group.

In addition to the fact that Vietnam joined WTO in the field of IT-Telecommunications, in the past year, many international cooperation activities have been successfully organized such as Asia-Europe Minister of Information and Information Technology Conference (in Hanoi); participated in the ITU International Telecommunications Union conference, the World Telecommunications Development Conference .

The conference attracted representatives of PT and IT enterprises and 63 Departments of Posts and Telecommunications nationwide.

In particular, during the year, the event of Microsoft Corporation President Bill Gates came to Vietnam and Intel Corporation invested a $ 1 billion project in Ho Chi Minh City, paving the way for the growing presence of large international investors, unfreeze new investment flows into Vietnam.
