Mobileinsurance.co.uk surveyed 2,570 people between the ages of 18 and 30 to understand the importance of mobile phones in British social life. All participants are in love or married and own at least one phone.
The results showed that 94% of respondents confirmed that they would rather give up the room and not live normally if the phone disappeared. 22% of people admitted they were "extremely dependent" on the phone, while only 10% said they could live normally even without owning the phone.
The survey data also shows many other interesting things. With the question: "What are you willing to sacrifice for a week so you don't have to leave your mobile phone?" , 45% of the participants admitted they would rather fast for a week, while 71% could abandon cars, 9% were willing to leave their children.
Another study by Vuclip, a mobile video business, shows that mobile phones are more important to men than women. When meeting a stranger, 61% of men often pay attention to the mobile phone the other uses before observing clothes, watches or cars. The sense of shame is also more likely to creep into the male mind if someone comments that their phone is old or bad.
