Motorcycle exhaust is more toxic than automobile exhaust

Japanese scientists at Kanazawa University came to an unexpected conclusion: compared with automobile emissions, motorcycle emissions pollute the environment more seriously and cause more harm to people.

The majority of toxic emissions are hydrocarbons - products of combustion and processing of petroleum, coal, wood, garbage, food, and tobacco. They affect the metabolism of sex hormones in humans.

In the modern world, the source of emissions of hydrocarbons comes from energy enterprises, the automobile industry, the chemical and petrochemical industries.Many hydrocarbon compounds are powerful carcinogens.

They have properties that mutate genes and teratogen , destroy embryonic development. This is something that has been known for quite some time but so far science has not found a way to determine the concentration of these compounds in the environment and in the human body.

It is the motorbike that creates more dangerous elements than cars.

Recently Japanese scientists have found a way to allow hidrocarbon metabolites in the air as well as in the blood, in human urine.

Since 2002, scientists have analyzed air samples in 7 major cities of Asia. The results showed that the main elements in the air in Japan are diesel engine emissions, in China due to coal burning.

Since then, the above analysis methods have been much improved. According to experts, this method currently does not have a competitor in terms of sensitivity.

Thanks to this method, Japanese scientists have discovered that motorcycles produce more dangerous elements than cars.

Furthermore, hidrocarbons in motor exhaust gas mutate genes higher than those from other engines . In general, hidrocarbons formed during combustion of a motor damage the metabolism of testosterone in men and estrogen in women.

Because of such an effect, men with prostate cancer and women with reproductive cancer also cause infertility.
