Mozilla patched a series of product security bugs
Mozilla has just released a security update to fix a series of serious security flaws in its range of products.
In the security bulletin released yesterday, Mozilla said that the most recent security fixes were in Firefox 1.5, the email client on PC Thunderbird and the SeaMonkey application suite.
Mozilla also confirmed Firefox 2.0 is completely "immune" to the above security flaws.
Among these security flaws this time there are some errors that could cause Mozilla's application software to hang or may be exploited by hackers to hijack the remote PC. There is also a security bug that could be used to run malicious Javascript code and an error that could be exploited to create fake digital signatures.
Security firm Secunia ranked security flaws that Mozilla has fixed on the 'extremely dangerous' level, while FrSIRT only ranked 'dangerous' and recommended users of Mozilla's faulty products. should quickly install patches as soon as possible.
' Security bugs fixed by Mozilla this time can be exploited by hackers to bypass security barriers, carry out cross-site script attacks or abduct a compromised system ,' Secunia warns.
