According to the Huffington Post, the study tracked more than 2,300 Finnish middle-aged men for 20 years. The results showed that those who went to the sauna 4-7 times a week had a 66% reduction in the risk of memory and 65% of Alzheimer's risk compared to those who only took a bath once a week.
"We have taken into account factors such as lifestyle, physical activity and socio-economic factors," said Professor Jari Laukkanen. This study focused on the link between sauna and brain bath.
Earlier research also found that men who took a bath 7 times a week were less likely to die from heart disease than those who only participated in the activity once."Sweating in the sauna can be compared to exercise , " Professor Laukkanen said. After sauna, blood pressure is also lower. Hypertension is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease and dementia.
