Mysterious super-precarious rocks in America

Scientists have discovered a very mysterious geological phenomenon: large rocks stacked on top of each other in extremely unsteady postures - standing close to the San Andreas rift.

>>>Controversy about the mysterious stone beach

They are located in the west of the San Bernardino Mountains, near the highway connecting the cities of Los Angeles and Las Vegas (USA), an area that is said to have a volatile geological form.

Lisa Grant Ludwig, Associate Professor of the University of California, told LiveScience that not the balance of the big stones surprised her. The biggest mystery lies in how they can keep that balance for thousands of years, when their neighbors are a rift that once triggered many very strong earthquakes.

This PBR is dated to 18,000 years, though
for it lies close to the free part of the San Andreas fault.

In fact, stones with such a stance as a circus can be found in many other parts of the world. There was even a scientific term for them: PBR , which is a super balance of stones.

'But the vast majority of them are present in stable areas, with little geological disturbance. We never thought we would encounter PBR right next to the fault line that is working like this , 'Ludwig commented.

Even PBR is one of the criteria for scientists to validate earthquake maps.'There is a definite inference that, where we come across PBR, there will be an area where strong earthquakes have not occurred for a long time.'

Because of these factors, the PBR range in San Bernardino became extremely strange. There are more than a dozen BPR stones scattered in the area. The chronological analysis showed that they were 'sticking' in this posture for millennia. Some platforms even date up to 18,000 years.
