3. City under the sea

This massive ancient architectural block was discovered by a diving instructor in 1985, on the southern coast of Yonaguni, Japan. The special attraction is that this structure is considered as a work of solid stone art, estimated at 8,000 years old.

The building dominates the bottom of this Japanese deep sea, carved in steps like stairs, the surface is smooth and square-angled.

In this architectural block, there are stones up to 100m long and tunnels deeper than 2m. It is worth noting that around this architectural area there are no traces of limestone, meaning that this building was previously higher than sea level.

The upper side of the architecture has a large stone block. So many people initially thought that this work was of an ancient civilization, it was submerged under the sea in a cataclysm.

But even though Yonaguni actually looked like a city complete with terraces and intact walls, scientists did not detect any living tools or furniture during the study. Housing and people's works are not available.
