Mystical footprints of Akkowarlink

On the southern shore of Managua in Nicaragua there are many footprints clearly printed on the rock. The Nicaraguan people call those ancient footprints left on this rock as the footprint of Akkowarlink.

To protect this rare ancient relic, a large tent was built and dug two holes about 2-3m deep beneath the tent.Under the pit, flat smooth stone face in every row of small footprints, shallow depths are not the same. Shallow footprints like people walking over soft soil or mud, their toes clearly visible. Deep footprints, we can fit our bare feet, like footprints when people walk through mud pools.

The footprints of Akkowarlink were buried in a few meters of mud, because the land here was very low. Every time the rainy season comes, a large amount of rainwater from above flows into Managua Lake, pouring day in and day out, causing the mud to erode, the marks of the ancient people become more visible.

The first person to discover these footprints is Dr. Plither who lives on this land. In 1878, he announced his discovery, but it took 63 years to attract the attention of archaeologists from the Canneki Museum in Washington so they could excavate the site. Based on the assessment, archaeologists conclude that traces of ancient people here have about 6000 years of history today, but today the footprints are still very clear, like the footprints of new people. pass. Why can ancient people leave their footprints on such hard rock?

According to archaeologists speculate, it is likely that the ancient people went through when the lava was not completely hardened. Nicaragua's Atlantic coast is home to many volcanoes, when volcanoes are active, people panic and flee everywhere. When the volcano stopped working, they continued to run to safer places, it was presumed that these footprints were likely to be left behind when the ancient people ran past the hardened place. But in 1915, American scientists conducted the experiment: when California volcano stopped spraying after a few hours the lava clock was completely stiff, there was no way to leave a trace. From that, it can be seen that the hardening process of lava is very fast.

South of Akkowarlink is a volcano, in the north is Lake Managua. At that time, people who want to pass can only follow the lake. But these footprints are footprints that run away from the shore of the lake. There are also people who say that when running out of danger, people run as fast as possible. The footprints show that they are walking, not running, and the footprints are very deep, just like when carrying a heavy load. Before the threat of death, does anyone even think of carrying heavy objects? Thus, until now, we still do not know the exact and reasonable explanation of footprints in Akkowarlink while scientists still do not stop to learn, study and discuss.
