NASA is about to launch a ship

In July, a NASA unmanned probe will begin a new milestone in human history with the name "touching the sun" mission.

Taking charge this time is the unmanned probe Solar Parker. The ship is named after astronomer, astronomer Eugene Parker - who first introduced the concept of the solar wind.

Solar Parker, developed by Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, is expected to be launched on July 31 and will reach the outer part of the Sun's atmosphere after a seven-year journey.

The ship will enter space and fly 7 rounds around Venus before reaching its destination when it is about 5.9 million km from the Sun (distance from Earth to the Sun is 150 million km).

This is the closest distance to the Sun ever. At the same time, this distance also helped Parker Solar get into Mercury's orbit around the Sun.

In order to withstand the terrible heat from the Sun, Solar Parker was equipped with sturdy armor panels, including complex carbon shields of 2.43m in diameter and 11.5cm thick. This set of armor helps Solar Parker withstand maximum temperatures of up to 1,400 degrees Celsius.

Last January, NASA simulated an environment that ships would face when they came to space. As a result, Solar Parker works well.

NASA said the Solar Parker probe would move at more than 700,000 km / h - a tremendous speed, as it would be to travel from New York to Tokyo in less than a minute, or from Philadelphia to Washington in 1 second.

This mission is part of NASA's "Living with the Stars" program, aimed at understanding the impact of the Sun on outer space and on Earth.

Specifically, NASA will use the information exploited to better forecast the space weather, factors affecting the satellite, astronauts and climate change situation of the Earth.

"The Solar Parker ship pioneered the appearance of the Sun's atmosphere, helping us learn more about the origin and development of the solar wind , " NASA spokesman said.
