The scientist is Michael KubeK, an assistant professor of neurology, cell biology and neurology, who was awarded this money by the US Army to research a thyrotropin (TRH) hormone spray, a chemical. nerve produced by the human brain in the pituitary.
This chemical has antidepressant and anti-suicidal effects, but is not appropriate by injecting or drinking. So, Kubek and other scientists at Purdue University and Hebrew University in Jerusalem developed a tube of nasal sprays of the right dose for the brain.
The project funded by the US Army to develop this nasal spray is also part of a US effort to find a way to combat the suicides of soldiers in the army.
