Accordingly, they focus on solar energy through nanostructured petals that act as germanium sulfide (GeS).

Ultra-thin petal architecture will help storage devices and energy storage devices operate more efficiently in a small space but with a large surface area.

Petals for solar cells are formed by passing GeS powder to the heating device. When evaporated, it will migrate to a cooling system that forms layers 20-30 nanometers thick and about 100 micrometers long. In structure, they overlap like carnations or marigolds.

GeS is a low-cost, low-cost semiconductor material for the environment. Its nanoparticle structure makes it a potential application not just in the field of solar power.

Thanks to its slim, large surface area, it will greatly increase the capacity of the current lithium-ion battery. According to Dr. Linyou Cao, the new structure of GeS can help power the supercapacitors and other energy storage devices.

This research paper was recently published in ACS Nano.
