According to a quick report from the Nghe An Flood and Storm Control Board, until 7 am (August 25), Nghe An had 1 death, occurring in Quynh Luu district; 5 people were injured in Dien Chau, Quynh Luu and Nghi Loc; 16 schools were blown away; more than 3,700 houses were unroofed; 22 houses collapsed completely; nearly 3,300 electric poles collapsed; nearly 5,900 ha of summer-autumn rice were inundated and likely lost up to 50% of production; more than 4,000 hectares of maize are lost; nearly 1,400 ha of vegetables and crops were lost; 6.500m of construction is seriously landslide and there are 2 boats sunk by the waves.
