As every year, the National Geographic Photo Contest 2014 is a "photo feast" with thousands of photos of professional and amateur photographers around the world.

This year's competition consists of three categories: people, places and nature.

The winners of each category will win a prize worth $ 2,500, and if they win the highest prize they will receive $ 7,500 and a trip to Washington DC to attend the National Geographic annual symposium .
