ARV is a drug that blocks HIV replication and replication.

Specifically, patients stopped taking the drug for about 2 - 7 months. But the test results show that their immune system works well, can resist this virus on their own.

According to experts, this is said to be one of the great successes in the treatment of century diseases for 30 years.

It is known that taking ARV pills every day, lasts throughout life. This consumes a lot of time and money as well as the patient's side effects from the medication.

Therefore, Beatriz Mothe from the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute in Spain cooked and conducted a breakthrough test when he and his colleagues selected 24 newly diagnosed HIV patients, allowing them to use two types of vaccines developed at Oxford University.

After that, 15 patients were separated from the group. They were assigned to use an additional booster dose with 3 doses of romidepsin - an anticancer drug. Some time later, each patient was vaccinated with a vaccine vaccine and finally stopped taking ARV every day.

All of these processes were observed and recorded by expert Beatriz Mothe and colleagues. They wanted to know whether the new vaccine would give them an immune response strong enough to stop using the drug.

Results showed that 10 people with HIV virus developed again, forced to continue using ARV drugs. 5 others have a strong immune system to control HIV, so they do not need ARV.

Not only that, some patients stopped using ARV within 7 months, the remaining 4 stopped treatment in 6 months, 14, 19, 21 weeks, respectively.

Immunologist Dr. Daniel Douek of the Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland said: "The results are encouraging, but it is difficult to assess the actual process effectiveness of this research ".

Despite this, Mothe's team thinks it will continue to monitor patients to see how long they can control the virus without taking medication.
