Online movie download services start working
Starz Entertainment Group officially launches a movie download service with a new app dubbed Vongo ( www.vongo.com ) that allows playing media files on Windows machines, portable computers or pocket devices. Other mobile including television.
The service provides unlimited access to 1,000 movies and videos as well as being able to use streaming video from Starz TV channels within 1 month. Each account can be downloaded content on 3 devices at a cost of 9.99 USD / month. Some movies also have a 'pay-to-watch' option for $ 3.99 per download.
Digital TV also announced that they have joined hands with the latest members, Sony and Microsoft, to expand their networks. Sony can use Vongo as part of its forthcoming Sony Connect Video and Microsoft provides a technical assistant to Starz in the technical areas of this service.
Starz also aims to add TV shows to this service but is still waiting for feedback from customers through this movie download service. There are now movies like Hitch, Kill Bill Vol.2, Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Dance With Wolves .
Starz said it will introduce to users in CES 2006 through its members Microsoft and Sony.
