Opening Robocon finals

This year's robocon final round opens the evening in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 32 teams from universities and colleges nationwide.

The competition takes place from May 8 to 13. The champion team will represent Vietnam to participate in the Asia-Pacific robocon competition in Hong Kong in August. The theme of this year's competition is "Dumpling Festival - Towards Peace and Prosperity".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Lam Kiet Tuong - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Head of the Organizing Committee said: Passionate about creativity, desire to discover and conquer new technology of students is the factor that makes the contest attractive.

"I believe that the 32 most excellent teams of the north, central and south regions will bring about 32 best and most innovative solutions," Tuong said.

Along with the Robocon finals competition, the Robocon Techshow teams will introduce some simple technologies for robots and guide technology enthusiasts on how to assemble a complete robot.
