Partial discovery of crucifix crucifixion Jesus?

Turkish archaeologists say they have found a stone chest dating back to 1,300 years. In the chest contains a stone carved with a cross.

Recently, archaeologists have excavated the Balatlar church in Sinop province (Turkey). Many precious artifacts have been discovered, but the most important is the stone chest inside which contains a special carved stone.

Ms. Gulgun Koroglu, leader of the excavation team, said: 'We have found a holy object in the chest. It could very well be a part of the famous cross that hung Jesus'.

It is known that Ms. Koroglu is an art and archaeological historian at Mimar Sinan Turkish University of Fine Arts. She let reporters see the stone engraved with the cross symbol: 'This chest and stone is extremely important. It is a historical artifact, one of the most precious and important things ever excavated in Turkey. '

It is known that the chest was taken to the lab for analysis. Koroglu revealed that her team has been excavating work at the Balatlar church since 2009. It is a church built in 660 in the Byzantine period.

Koroglu said that in addition to the special trunk above, they had unearthed some precious artifacts from ancient Rome and about 1,000 human bones.

Will the stone be found to have a connection with the famous crucifix that once hung Jesus? Many people seem to doubt this because the place where Jesus was hung on the cross is in Jerusalem (Israel) and not in Turkey.

However, it used to be a legend that St. Helena, the mother of the first Roman emperor of the Roman Empire, found the cross of Jesus in Jerusalem.

She then divided the cross into three parts and gave it to the churches in Jerusalem, Rome and Constantinople-ie Istanbul of Turkey today.
