The announcement of the Philippine Institute of Geology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) indicates that the magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in Bohol island at 1:21 pm (local time). The epicenter is 31km northeast of Tagbilaran city and only 9km deep.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the earthquake was 4.8 magnitude. The report sent to the agency said people in Cebu, Danao and Bohol felt slight shaking.
The incident in the right area last month was struck by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, which forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate. According to Philvolcs, this is the aftershock of the earthquake that shook Bohol on October 15.
It is unclear whether it causes any casualties or damage to property, and there is no tsunami warning in the area.
