Typhoon Haiyan will be in the waters of Thanh Hoa - Hai Phong provinces tonight, causing heavy rain on a large scale, so localities in this area are urgently responding to super typhoons.

According to the Central Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, 11am on November 10, Haiyan storm center is about 190km east of the provinces of Thua Thien Hue - Quang Tri to the east, with a maximum wind speed of 149km per hour (level 13 ).

The storm continued to move in the direction of west-northwest and northwest, parallel to the coast of Thua Thien Hue - Nghe An provinces with an hourly speed of about 30-35km. By 22:00 on November 10, the storm center in the coastal areas of Thanh Hoa - Hai Phong provinces with a maximum wind power of 117km per hour (level 11).

The northern region is warned to have heavy rains from the night of 10 to 12 November. In this situation, the northern provinces, especially the coastal areas, have been able to deal with storms.

Thanh Hoa province has had the electricity evacuation of 6 coastal districts, 200m from the water edge, completed before 18h of the same day, absolutely ensuring the safety of people's lives, prioritizing evacuation of the elderly and children. Temporary residence positions are schools, offices, solid buildings and other locations according to the approved plan. The province requires people to evacuate to bring food, water and essentials for 3 days.

Currently, local authorities and border guards work closely with families to call fishermen on the watchtower, cages to shore, help people fight against houses.

On November 10, the Chairman of the People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Rescue and Search and Rescue of Ninh Binh Province Bui Van Thang said that from 7-10 November, the province has banned sea and routes. The river boat temporarily stopped transporting from 10 am on November 10 until the storm cleared.

The province is expected to move more than 10,000 households with over 44,600 people living within 200 meters of the coast.

Districts, cities and towns migrating to live in estuaries and low-lying areas are at risk of landslides to safe places, cutting trees, preventing houses, buildings, warehouses and schools. and the hospital is completed before 14:00 on November 10. The province will postpone unnecessary meetings to focus on flood and storm prevention. Students in the area will be absent from school until the storm is over.

Talking to PV, Mr. Le Xuan Thuy, Director of Nam Dinh Department of Agriculture said, from 3 am this morning, the sea ban has been issued. All more than 2,000 boats of this province went to shelter. Orders to evacuate people in 3 coastal districts of Hai Hau, Nghia Hung and Giao Thuy were also given. Accordingly, by 17:00 this afternoon, about 7,000 people and tourists must evacuate to a safe place.

Despite the initiative to respond to the storm, according to Mr. Thuy, if it landed, the storm will cause serious damage to Nam Dinh. The most significant is tens of thousands of tons of clams in Giao Thuy and Hai Hau clam grounds, 3,000 hectares of specialty rice and thousands of hectares of winter crops."Now just look forward to him, if the storm hits, the damage to the province will be great," Mr. Thuy said.

In the afternoon of November 10, the weather in Nam Dinh was quiet, but what Mr. Thuy worried about was the expected time of the landing of the storm on the morning of November 11, right at high tide.

Mr. Le Van Thang, deputy director of Thai Binh Department of Agriculture said that the province has established the forward command post at Cua Lan border station (Tien Hai) to promptly respond to Typhoon Haiyan. Department leaders are leading delegations to each locality to check the preparations for storm prevention.

In Tien Hai district, it is beautiful and not raining. Even so, Mr. Thang still directed the departments and people to be vigilant. The immigration order was issued. Accordingly, households outside the dyke and those working in this area must immediately move to a safe place before 15:00 on November 10. People in the dike but weak houses must also move.
