Khai Duc Airport is located in Cuu Long Bay a few weeks before closing in May 1998 (above). This is Hong Kong's international airport since 1925, with only a 3,390 meter runway close to the sea, making it one of the most difficult airports to land in the world at that time. In June 2013, a modern ferry terminal replaced the old runway. The 4-storey ferry terminal, with a floor area of 184,000m 2 , accommodates two large vessels of 360 meters long, carrying 5,400 passengers and 1,200 sailors.On the roof is a large park with grass and trees.(Photo: AFP / SPA).

Connaught Road, the main road north of Hong Kong Island in the 1950s (above) has a wide road surface, overlooking the sea, and boats moor a few meters away from British architectural buildings.Connaught today (below) is a busy street full of high-rise buildings and commercial centers, no longer seeing the riverbank.

Thanh Ma Bridge was built in 1992 and completed on April 17, 1997, before Hong Kong returned to China.This is the 7th largest span bridge in the world, including both railway and road.The bridge is 41 meters wide, 206 meters high, has two floors with 6 lanes of roads and two lanes of railways, 2.2 km long, connecting the two largest islands in Hong Kong, Thanh Y and Ma Loan.(Photo: Wikipedia).
