The word plastic is created by Greek inventor Leo Baekeland from the Greek Plastikós, meaning "moldable".
Plastic was invented from the middle of the 19th century, to the middle of the 20th century it began to be widely used and completely changed all aspects of human life, by replacing all the most common items. Today, plastic debris is the most difficult problem that people have to face and solve in this 21st century.
