Plug-in helps detect phishing websites

Besides threats from viruses, spyware, hackers, phishing (phishing) is also rampant.

Picture 1 of Plug-in helps detect phishing websites Phishing websites often wear well-known reputable websites (such as ebay.com or citibank.com) with a different URL and interface. Scammers send gullies with attractive shopping content, with links to their websites. If the prey collapses, they will gain important personal information (bank account numbers, credit card numbers .). In order to help users minimize the serious consequences of phishing, CoreStreet has strengthened Mozilla Firefox's browser with a plug-in called SpoofStick for Firefox (SF).

SF is a small but powerful plug-in that is integrated into Mozilla Firefox's Toolbar bar to help users detect phishing sites. Whenever you browse the web, SF always displays information related to the domain name of the website you visit and if it detects a phishing website, SF will immediately notify you.

To better understand how SF works, take an example to illustrate the following: When you visit any link in the official website of ebay.com, SF always shows the words "You're on ebay.com ". If you access a phishing link impersonating ebay.com (such as http://signin.ebay.com@10.19.32.4), immediately SF will display the words "You're on 10.19. 32.4 ". The latest 16 KB mini-version SF 1.06, compatible with all Windows, can be downloaded for free at www.majorgeeks.com/download4452.htm.

After downloading, close all web pages of Mozilla Firefox, then copy the spoofstick-firefox.xpi file to the Program FilesMozilla Firefoxextensions folder. Next, restart Mozilla Firefox and in the dialog that appears, click the Install Now button. The next dialog box will show you how to integrate SF into Mozilla Firefox. You should uncheck the Show this message everytime Firefox starts section so that this dialog box no longer appears in the following Mozilla Firefox launches and click OK, then go to View> Toolbars> Customize menu. In the Customize Toolbar dialog box that appears, hold down the left mouse button, drag the SpoofStick icon and drop it into Mozilla Firefox's Toolbar bar and click Done to complete the installation process.

From now on, you will no longer have concerns about phishing because there is a powerful assistant named SF!
