Hoa Binh hydropower plant : Hoa Binhhydropower plant was built on Da river, the section running through Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province.This is the largest hydropower plant in Southeast Asia until Son La hydropower was inaugurated in 2012. The plant was supported by the Soviet Union, started in 1979, inaugurated in 1994. The design is 1,920 MW, the annual electricity output is 8.16 billion KWh.The plant is the main source of power supply for the entire Vietnam electricity system, providing an efficient power source for the Central and Southern regions.The project also helps to combat floods and irrigation against drought in agriculture and water transport on Da River.(Photo: EVN).

Hanoi - Lao Cai highway:Completely newly built, Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway is one of the largest high-speed expressway projects in Vietnam.Beginning in 2007, after 7 years of construction, Hanoi - Lao Cai highway completed with 245km of highway A, passing through Hanoi and Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces.The route helps traffic from Hanoi to Lao Cai to 3.5 hours compared to 7 hours as before and shortens the time to Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces.The Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway is particularly important in the Kunming - Hai Phong road corridor, which is part of a cooperation program between six countries in the Mekong River sub-region, namely Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.
