Quang Binh people caught seals

On August 8, a fisherman in Quang Dong, Quang Trach and Quang Binh communes caught a seal while practicing squid fishing at Hon La Bay.

The catcher of the seal is Mr. Nguyen Vinh Dien, Vinh Son village of Guangdong commune. While fishing squid, Mr. Dien found a 20kg heavy seal standing on a ledge close to the water at Mui Doc on the coast of Quang Dong commune in Hon La bay. Mr. Dien made the seal take him home, the animal is healthy and many people in the area come to see it because of curiosity.

Mr. Dien said that when he was arrested, he had red eyes on one side, his health was still stable this afternoon.

According to the newspaper SGTT, the Department of Protection of Aquatic Resources mobilized Mr. Dien to drop the seals back to the sea, but Mr. Dien requested to pay 20 million dong. Before that, the Quang Binh Department of Aquatic Resources Exploitation and Protection could not solve the requirements of Mr. Dien's family and made a plan to contact Nha Trang Oceanographic Institute or Hai Phong Oceanographic Institute to have plan to save the seal above.

At present, the seal is locked in the net and is served by Mr. Dien's family more than 2kg of sea fish every day.
