Detecting stone ax about 5,000 years old in Quang Binh

The discovery of two stone axes testifies to the existence of primitive people from the Stone Age in the Changchun Mountains.

In the afternoon of May 21, Quang Binh General Museum said that in the recent survey and collection of this museum in villages of Van Kieu ethnic people such as: Khe Wire, Khe Ngang, Na Lam, Lam Ninh, Chu Chuon . in Truong Xuan commune, Quang Ninh district (Quang Binh), two stone axes are the cutting tools of primitive people discovered.

The ax is chiseled with silicon stone in yellow, V-shaped vertical section.

In Khe Wire village, Mr. Ho Nga, the Van Kieu people store an ax that is chiseled with yellow stone with silicon, the V-shaped section along with the body, the blade is worn. This ax was picked up by Mr. Nga during a forest trip.

The survey team also discovered a stone ax with a square shoulder with a similar date at Mr. Ho Xe's house, in Na Lam village.

These two axes are from the Stone Age, the new post-stone era with an estimated age of 4,500 - 5,000 years ago. This proves the existence of primitive people from the Stone Age in the Changchun Mountains.

According to the Quang Binh General Museum, these are new discoveries of archeology about this land, marking the archaeological map of Quang Binh adding a new location to the Stone Age.
