Typhoon hit Quang Binh - Quang Tri

According to the 17h newsletter of the Central Hydrometeorological Center, Sonca stormed into the northern province of Quang Tri at 15:00, causing level 8 storm winds, tugging at level 10 in Con Co island; level 7 wind, level 10 jerk in Cua Viet. Dong Ha City recorded level 9 winds. Provinces from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue had heavy rain, popular rainfall of 50-100mm.

After about an hour, the storm weakened into a tropical depression until 16h on the mainland of Quang Binh - Quang Tri province. Satellite image shows that the storm has entered the mainland of Dong Ha City (Quang Tri). Storm tail sweeps through Thua Thien Hue causing heavy rain for this area. In Hue City, continuous heavy rain from this morning caused many central roads to turn into rivers.
