Monitoring data of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBTO) shows that in the coming days, radioactive clouds in Southeast Asia continue to spread to Vietnam.

Today, radioactive clouds approach the town of Mong Cai, Quang Ninh province and tend to become smaller as they enter the northern region.

"The radioactive cloud coming into the North is also not worrying, because the concentration is tens of thousands times smaller than the standard, so it does not affect human health ," said Dr. Vuong Huu Tan, Director Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute emphasized.

Dr Vuong Huu Tan said, if it rains, the amount of radiation will fall to the ground faster, but if the weather is sunny, people will easily breathe more radioactivity. "The calculation of scientists ' pigs, the level of radiation affecting our country is very small, so there is no need to warn people . "

The Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology said the agency has not yet discovered radioactivity in seawater in Vietnam.

In Vietnam, radioactive iodine concentrations in Da Lat area tend to decrease, and no radioactive Cs-134, Cs-137 have been recorded in the air.

In Ho Chi Minh City and Lang Son, in addition to the natural radioactivity, the monitoring station also recorded the radioactive isotopes of I-131, Cs-134 and Cs-137 at a very low level.
