Eddie Kisfaludy got this luck when he participated in the survey flight of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the California Marine Sports Association.

Whales are recorded with about 40 blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus) and 5 - 6 fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) moving off San Diego 24km west of La Jolla, California.

Blue whale is the largest mammal in the world with a body length of up to 30m. This animal lives mainly in temperate sea and cold sea, so during the summer months they often migrate to the southern California sea. The main feed of blue whales is mollusk marine organisms, so their excretions are bright yellow which is easily recognizable from above.
