Recovering drugs to treat cancer causing kidney toxicity
Bristol-Myers Squibb is rushing to recall more than 31,000 units of cancer chemotherapy drugs after detecting the amount in an overdose.

It is the drug BICNU, a drug used for injection to treat brain tumors, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
According to Bristol-Myers, if using BiCNU overdose can lead to pulmonary or renal toxicity. Although this drug was previously considered to have no side effects.
The drug batch was produced by the laboratory of Ben, a longtime drug maker of New York pharmaceutical company. However, the recovery of drug batches does not affect BiCNU pharmaceutical products sold in the US, Canada, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Bristol-Myers also said that this recall did not lead to a shortage of drug products.
